(London, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Simon Westbury, Digitain Chief Business Officer, granted an interview to SoloAzar in which he shared his thoughts about the successful participation of the firm at recent ICE show, as well as other subjects related to the current situation of the company and the industry.

Digitain had its biggest ever stand at recent ICE

We finally met again in person at ICE London. What is the importance for the company of being present at this show?

Yes – it was great to finally meet our colleagues from Soloazar. ICE is one of the most important industry exhibitions for Digitain. It’s a chance to showcase our fantastic range of products to visitors from across the globe. It’s also a perfect opportunity to meet up with our existing partner network, now made up of over 150 operators.

It was also important for us to show confidence in ICE this year by having our biggest ever stand, supported by over 100 of our Digitain team – and as a result we had our best ever experience.

What new products have you prepared for this occasion? What has the firm exhibited at your stand and what was the highlight?

We showcased five products, but the highlight was definitely Centrivo, our new, all-in-one, GLI-compliant iGaming platform, will be officially launched at ICE 2022. This development represents a real step change for operators, whether they are a start-up or an established operation, giving them ultimate control to differentiate and develop their businesses.

Innovative features include, an extensive range of pro-active responsible gaming options, a comprehensive back-office management and reporting system, an intuitive and flexible content management engine, a flexible cross-product bonus tool and a globally rich payment gateway, boasting over 400 payment providers.

The latest cutting-edge technology, including AI and machine-learning, has been employed to deliver a highly flexible, customisable and scalable solution – no matter where our partners are located in the world. Also, Centrivo can now handle even more bets being processed - up to 10,000 a second.

Also at ICE 2022, we launched our new Live Casino, located in our own state-of-the-art studio in Yerevan, and offering a luxury environment with Blackjack, Auto Roulette and European Roulette available.

Also launched was our exciting new Virtual Sports product, featuring Football, Horse Racing and Greyhound Racing. As well as this we launched our standalone Payment Gateway, featuring 400 integrated payment providers.

Finally, at ICE 2022, we showcased our latest version of our award-winning, GLI-certified, Sportsbook.

After the last two years, due to the pandemic, we had to make changes and adapt both personally and professionally. How does the company face this "new normal"?

The Digitain team have been ultra-flexible over the last two years and we, like most businesses, have developed a hybrid approach to working patterns, with people working from the office and remotely as the roles require. It no longer feels like a strange thing to contemplate from an operational perspective.

Technology enables us to work effectively and the new “normal” has been established into everyday working life now. Similarly communicating with existing partners and potential new clients is easily and efficiently done remotely, although it’s also great to meet face-to-face to cement relationships.

Online gaming is becoming stronger every day worldwide. What are the opportunities that arise, what are the benefits? Do you think that online gaming could be competition for land-based gaming or a complement?

There is still a great opportunity for some land-based business to leverage their brands and customer loyalty by enabling their players going online. Managed properly, with effective use of marketing, such as CRM, then operators can get the best of both worlds, creating profitable synergy.

Online betting and gaming revenues will continue to grow, as customers confidence and technology improves – especially as more markets regulate, and gaming becomes more accessible to recreational players.

In what markets is the company already established and what are the markets it is aiming to enter soon?

Digitain’s partner network is mainly established in western Europe and in the CIS region. Our expressed strategy is to extend our geographical footprint in targeted regulated markets in Latin America, Asia and Africa. We have developed a number of additional localized products to allow us to over a complete service in any region of the world., such as our Payment Gateway which enables operators to offer effective payment solutions, no matter where their market is located.

We are also building regionally- based sales teams to support our international expansion.

Brexit has been decisive for many companies when making the decision to participate or not in this edition of ICE London. How have you handled this issue? Is it an important issue when deciding to be present at ICE?

Being based outside the EU, we had no additional issues travelling to ICE. As mentioned earlier, we regard ICE as one of the “must-attend” expos and the situation with Brexit or the issues with some organisations not exhibiting were never going to be a problem for us.

We were delighted with the quantity and quality of the attendees who took the time and trouble to visit our brilliant stand. Their response to our showcased products was exceptional and overall, we were really pleased with our experience at ICE 2022.
